Malta Boat Show 2024: A Resounding Success

Cottonera, Malta – 3rd November 2024 – The Malta Boat Show drew to a close, today Sunday 3rd November.   The revival of the much needed boat show was due to the efforts of Yachting Malta with the support of the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works.

The Malta Boat Show which spanned over a period of two evenings and two full days attracted a multitude of visitors and industry professionals.

The Malta Boat Show featured an impressive lineup of over 45 exhibitors, close to a kilometer of quay and pontoons, and 80 boats on the water. The Malta Boat Show drew a few thousand visitors to Dockyard Creek in Cospicua and Vittoriosa.

The strong turnout and international interest bodes well for future editions, as visitors were able to see a varied showcase of  cutting-edge yachts, boating accessories, and marine services,  which attracted the attention of not only yachting and marine enthusiasts, but professionals and families alike.

Beyond showcasing the latest in yachting, the event created valuable networking opportunities and fostered new collaborations, reflecting the shared commitment to boosting Malta’s maritime industry.

Yachting Malta Chairman, the Hon. Chris Agius, expressed his satisfaction with the successful outcome of the Malta Boat Show, stating, ‘The Malta Boat Show showcases Malta’s rich maritime heritage while highlighting the latest technological advancements shaping the yachting industry today. This event not only celebrates our maritime legacy but also looks to the future, recognising the significant contribution of yachting to the Maltese economy. Since its inception, Yachting Malta has worked tirelessly to promote Malta’s status on the international stage, and the Malta Boat Show represents another step forward in achieving that vision.”

Agius continued to express his gratitude towards the Ministry for Transport,  Infrastructure, and Public Works, led by Minister Hon. Chris Bonett for their ongoing support. He went on to thank Transport Malta, American University of Malta, Grand Habour Marina,  Cospicua and Vittoriosa Local Councils, Infrastructure Malta and Cospicua Boating Group.

Looking forward to 2025, Yachting Malta announced the dates for the next edition of the Malta Boat Show which is set to return to Dockyard Creek, Cottonera from 30 October to 2 November 2025.

Based on the widespread interest generated this year, the forthcoming show promises to build on this momentum, anticipating even greater participation from international stakeholders and further elevating Malta’s maritime profile.
