Yachting Malta to showcase Malta’s yachting ecosystem at BOOT Düsseldorf 2026
Yachting Malta will once again represent Malta’s growing maritime and yachting sector at BOOT Düsseldorf 2026, taking place between 17 and 25 January at the Messe Düsseldorf, one of the world’s most influential international boat and water sports exhibitions.
This year, Yachting Malta’s presence at Hall 16, Stand D54 is made possible through the support of the Malta Tourism Authority (Visit Malta), who together with the Malta Ship Registry will be collaborating to ensure a joined-up national platform that reflects the full breadth of Malta’s maritime offering — from leisure boating and chartering to ship registration, marina services, refit, events and international sporting activity.
In a new initiative for 2026, Yachting Malta has also extended its stand to provide Maltese sailing schools with a dedicated opportunity to promote their programmes internationally. This has been taken up by both the Malta Young Sailors Club and the Royal Malta Yacht Club, who will be present on the stand to engage with visitors, sailing families and international partners interested in training, youth development and year-round sailing in Malta.
The move reflects Yachting Malta’s wider strategy to position Malta not only as a yachting hub, but also as a destination for sailing education, talent development and international training camps, capitalising on the island’s favourable climate, infrastructure and calendar of regattas.
Michael Mifsud, CEO of Yachting Malta, said:
“Our presence at BOOT Düsseldorf is about far more than a single exhibition. It is about ensuring Malta remains visible, competitive and relevant in a global marketplace. By bringing together our national partners, our ship registry and now also our sailing schools, we are presenting Malta as a complete, end-to-end yachting destination — offering services, events, training and experiences at every level of the sport and industry. This international exposure is essential to continue attracting boat owners, professionals, athletes and families to Malta, and to reinforce our position as a leading Mediterranean base for yachting year-round.”
Yachting Malta, Visit Malta and the Malta Ship Registry will be on hand throughout the show to meet industry stakeholders, support B2B meetings and provide information on doing business, training and operating from Malta.
