Four Days of Challenging Racing at the Yachting Malta BSC International Regatta

The Yachting Malta BSC International Regatta concluded after four days of high-quality racing, delivering a competitive series despite highly variable weather conditions. Sailors were tested across the full wind spectrum from light to winds reaching up to 29 knots.

Race management adapted effectively throughout the regatta, completing a total of ten races for both the ILCA and Optimist classes. One of the most challenging days saw racing relocated to the Delimara area to benefit from land shelter, with safety prioritised as conditions exceeded forecasts and racing was suspended. The final day rewarded competitors with favourable conditions, allowing efficient racing across two courses and a strong conclusion to the event.

The regatta was marked by a strong fleet of international sailors. Together with local sailors, they engaged in close racing. Strong performances across all fleets were recorded, and excellent cooperation between clubs, officials, volunteers, and support teams, continued to reinforce the event’s reputation as a key fixture on the sailing calendar.
