About Yachting Malta

Yachting Malta is a public private partnership between the Government of Malta and the Royal Malta Yacht Club.

Launched in April 2015, the organisation’s primary role is to identify and attract high profile yachting events to the Maltese Islands, including sailing regattas, power racing, boat shows, yachting awards & conferences.  Yachting Malta also aims to enhance the quality and growth of already established events.

In view of this, it is Yachting Malta’s intention to invest in the hosting of a Boat Show which will lay the foundation for a regional Boat Show of high standards.

The Malta Boat Show

The Malta Boat Show will take place in from Wednesday 30th October until Sunday 3rd November 2024.

A venue of around 5,800 square meters and 600 linear metres of quays has been earmarked for the Show.

The show is open for all businesses and individuals engaged in maritime, yachting and boating activities.

Several pavilions and stands will be available throughout the duration of the Boat Show ranging from approximately 16 square metres to approximately 65  square metres.

Target Participation

The Boat Show welcomes all industry stakeholders,  including but not limited to businesses involved in boats, boating accessories, brokerage and other related products.

Pavilion Schedule

The following is a schedule of the required different sized pavilions:

Type A – 4 metre x 4 metre pavilion 16 square metres – 21 in number @ €_______ excl. VAT each

Type B – 6 metre x 6 metre pavilion 36 square metres – 4 in number@ € _______ excl. VAT each

Type C – 8 metre x 8metre pavilion 64 square metres – 8 in number @ €_______ excl. VAT each

The setup of the Show Pavilions will require a marquee, carpet, one light and one electrical power point.

Contractors are to be able to offer turnkey packages for pavilions upon request from exhibitors.

Furniture

The Furniture Quantities estimated to be required are as follows:-

79 x Counters  – @ €_______ excl. VAT each

79 x Director’s Stools @ €_______ excl. VAT each

640 sqm of Decking @ €_______ excl. VAT each

485 m of Hoarding @ €_______ excl. VAT each

Lighting & Sound

Design and installation of an adequate general lighting and sound system for zones as indicated on plans in Appendix A.

General Cleaning & Mobile Toilets

Provision of cleaning services before assembly and dismantling, as well as on-site cleaning throughout the event, including pre-opening, during, and post-opening hours.

Provision and maintenance of three clusters of luxury mobile toilets, including accessible models are to be installed. Ongoing cleaning and attendance are required throughout the duration of the Boat Show.

Ticketing

Provision of online ticketing services and entry access control.

Security Services

Provision of on-site security services from Friday, 25th October, until Monday, 5th November. The service must include access control for visitors entering the Boat Show.

Schedule of Event

Wednesday 30th October 2024

Official opening  will be by invitation only. A few VIP Invites will be issued for guests of exhibiting participants as well as members of the media/press.

Thursday 31st  October 2024  

Opening times from 1800hrs to 2200hrs

Friday 1st November 2024

Opening times from 1800hrs to 2200 hrs

Saturday 2nd November 2024

Opening times 0930hrs to1300hrs & 1800hrs to 2230hrs

Sunday 3rd November 2024

Opening times from 0930 hrs to 2130hrs

Assembly & Dismantling

The venue will be available to contractors for assembly and set up from Friday 25th October 2024.

Stands and pontoons need to be handed to exhibitors by latest Tuesday 29th October 2024  at 1200hrs

Dismantling of stands can commence from Monday 4th  November 2024 0900 hrs and needs to be concluded before 2300 hrs on Monday 4th November 2024.
