Yachting Malta Instrumental in the Forging of International Alliances

Yachting Malta, together with Visit Malta facilitated the signing of an important reciprocal agreement between the Royal Malta Yacht Club (RMYC) and the Yacht Club de Cannes.

The Yacht Club de Cannes delegation, led by Club President Mr Jean Francois Cutugno, and accompanied by Les Régates Royales de Cannes organiser and member Mr Bruno Ricciardi and Honorary Consul of Malta in Nice, Mr. Pascal Perez were hosted to several activities aimed towards fostering international relations.

The reciprocal agreement, signed with the Royal Malta Yacht Club, means that members of the respective Clubs will enjoy reciprocal privileges when visiting each other. This includes access to Club facilities, participation in events and regattas, as well as exclusive member benefits.

During their visit to Malta, the Cannois  delegation were also welcomed by Birzebbugia Sailing Club Commodore Mario Aquilina and Committee Member Alfred Fenech, who gave them a tour of the Club premises. They were later able to enjoy on water action from the Club’s Spring Regatta.
