Yachting Malta presence at ESG Conference

Today Yachting Malta Ltd represented by CEO Michael Mifsud, Director Mark Vella and Company Secretary Dr Elian Scicluna attended an Environment, Social and Corporate Governance Conference organised by the Malta Maritime Forum on the principles of ESG and how these are affecting the Maritime Industry and all other economic Sectors.

ESG principles are altering the dynamics of the business world, as stakeholders increasingly expect companies to make their operations more sustainable in terms of all three Pillars.

The Conference was Moderated by Mr Kevin Borg while Judge Emeritus Joseph Zammit McKeon gave an introduction to the topic. The conference was addressed by Dr Roberta Lepre, Dr Stephanie Vella, Mr Clint Flores, Ing Chris Grima and Ms Martina Vella. Interventions from ex EU Commissioner for Maritime Affairs Perit Karmenu Vella and Mr Stephen Xuereb rounded up the discussion.

Yachting Malta is well aware of these three pillars and works towards harmonising all its procedures with ESG principles in mind.

Yachting Malta is actively looking into projects where funding is sought for yachting projects that embrace these principles.
