Malta’s preparations to host the 2022 Yacht Racing Forum are well underway

The Yacht Racing Forum which is the leading annual conference dedicated to sailing and yacht racing will be hosted in Malta between the 21st and 22nd of November.   

Organised by MaxComm and hosted by Yachting Malta, the Forum is expected to attract hundreds of delegates representing the various elements that make up the yacht racing community and sailing industry. 

Delegates will enjoy two days of networking opportunities, discussions related to the sport and industry as well as several social events which will give them a taste of what Malta has to offer.

As part of its preparations for the event, MaxComm Founder and CEO Bernard Schopfer recently visited Malta on an intensive two-day site technical visit. During this time, various stakeholders involved in the event met at each location which will be welcoming guests of the Yacht Racing Forum to go through all the necessary details to ensure the best possible experience for Forum delegates.  

The organisers have announced the Intercontinental Hotel as the official event Hotel. With 3,600 sqm of conference space, the Hotel is well equipped to host the Yacht Racing Forum.

Throughout the Forum, an Exhibition and Trade Show will also be hosted, whilst the coveted Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image of the Year Award will be announced during this event.  

The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image is an annual yacht racing photography competition that showcases some of the world’s renowned photographers’ work in a contest that reflects the spirit of boat racing in all its forms, from classic yachts to top-end racers, multihulls, dinghies, windsurf and kitesurfing.
