Deea Buzdugan features in the months of March and July, where she captured the laser sailing boats at the Yachting Malta International Regatta hosted by Birżebbugia Sailing Club and the majestic lines of classic yachts taking part in the annual Trophee Bailli de Suffren in July.
Deea is a photographer who fell in love with sailing photography in 2017, when she took part in the Rolex Middle Sea Race. It was love at first sight and from that moment on she’s traveled around Europe and captured as many sailing events as possible, from Laser Races to the Volvo Ocean Race.
Meanwhile Malta became her second home and her love of yacht racing photography grew into a mature and profound passion. In her photos, Deea aims to capture the three more important aspects of this amazing sport. First: the action and the adrenaline; Second: the beauty of sailing boats while racing – they are like the sleeping beauties that woke-up for race and Third: the sailors, from the youngest to the eldest one, their character, their struggle and their peace out there on the sea.
By 2019 some of her Rolex Middle Sea Race photos were published in Yacht Expert Magazine and has also published her first article about yachting photography. Beside sailing photography, Deea works in fashion, shooting for European fashion brands and publishing editorials in fashion magazines.
Deea loves her job and considers herself to be very fortunate that photography picked her to be one of its ambassadors.
